PHOTOGRAPHY/MIXED MEDIA My artwork reflects my inner most thoughts and dreams. My passion for photography spawns from the ability to bring to reality a world where fantasy, surrealism and fact can fuse together and create thought provoking images. |

PHOTOGRAPHY I shoot mainly large format, and enjoy immensly the panoramic format. I find it both liberating and constraining at the same time. It provides me with a fresh way to look at portraiture which I design individually for each subject. |

OIL ON CANVAS I describe my work as minimal representational, letting my paintings come to life in an intuitive manner. After applying paint to my canvas, I wait and let the images emerge. Like the child who carves images from clouds, I step away from the literal and attempt to paint what I perceive and feel. |

“Painting for me is like playing in a more intensified way. It is a place where I can lose and find my self simultaneously. My work is personal until it becomes complete.” Mario Blanco |

DIGITAL ART My approach to painting is fundamentally digital and computer mediated. I view the painting as a set of information describing the location and color of each point comprising the image. |

SCULPTOR Intuitive drawings are transformed into three dimensional bas-relief terra cotta sculpture panels. The original inspiration for the size and format for these panels were Ghiberti's "Golden Doors" on the Baptistery in Florence, Italy. |
