ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:
Born Tracy Lee Arnold in Chula
Vista, California on July 7, 1961, Ristapuel was influenced early in
life by her father's hobbies of painting and jewelry making. After his
death, when she was 10, Tracy's mother encouraged her to perfect her
talents and supported her artistic growth, nurturing her with martial
arts classes as well as guitar lessons. High school years were spent
learning to make jewelry and drawing.
In 1996 Tracy began her spiritual
path. Soon she awakened to her Higher Self, "Ristapuel" (pronounced
Ris-stop-u-l) her name given by God and Ristapuel became her artistic
name to honor Spirit. "I experiment with whatever it is I feel. That
is how all of my work is created. I believe that I am the tool through
which spirit works and that all of my work is 'channeled'.
This new series that I am working
with, I call the "Cosmic Song Series". I use star fields to create the
'songs' on canvas. I believe that our physical origins are from the
cosmos and it makes sense that as new stars are birthed, so are new
ideas and creations. I love to use pure & vibrant color because I think
that it brings forth a pure and vibrant sound."
In a style some say is like
Picasso, using brilliant color like Van Gogh, seeking to use the light
as Rembrandt does, Ristapuel says, "When I am painting & creating, my
heart is singing."
