Artist Statement:

"Painting for me is a way to express human emotion. All of its passions and varieties offer a side range of representations. I usually use the figure as subject matter but at times it is the paint alone which shapes form and content. Experimentation and growth are important to me and I enjoy seeing the unexpected emerge during my work process. Human characteristics, as well as my own emotions, are always changing. Knowing this, I always have unlimited possibilities to work from. I want my work to trigger an internal response from the viewer, in any way which is satisfying for them. Painting provides a necessary nourishment for myself as an artist. Art as a whole is a strong source of power and intrigue." Erin Blayney

Upcoming Shows:

The main show is Sept. 17 at ZAZOU
HOME, 2136 Kettner Blvd. This is a contemporary
design/furniture/original art store which recently
opened a block down from Mixture.  The store will be
changed into a more of  a gallery space for the
evening. It is a group show of the following artists:

Zach Clement
John Thomas
Aaron David Smith
Erin Blayney

The opening reception will be from 6-10pm and we are
planning on having a DJ and of course wine.

One-night/one-day show August 27th- this Friday-
at a space on Kettner which will
soon be the ADORN store- 2400 Kettner Blvd.
