SALLY BEE

SallyBee is a clothing design studio driven by color, texture and print. In the drivers seat is Sally Smith, creating under the alias given by her father at the age of 6. By the age of 8, Barbies in the Smith household were wearing couture gowns made of hand painted tissue.

At 12, birthday parties featuring fashion shows with garments made of newspaper were the hit of the neighborhood. The days in between were spent raiding mom’s closet, which is still the vintage store of choice and an inspiration always.

.

Several years later, it was off to college, in which Sally attended for Industrial (Product) Design. Armed with a degree, much experience in retail including window dressing, a stint in the textile industry and a crash course in screen printing, Sally decided to get into a real relationship with her true love. And so, in 2003, Sally Bee was born. Two years, 15 boutiques, a television appearance on Home and Garden TV, many trunk and trade shows later…Sally Bee continues to grow.

Truly built to fit, Sally Bee clothing is blessed individually with original, screen printed designs and appliques. Clothing receives couture treatment at Sally Bee, as Ms. Smith redefines the American uniform.
