JOHN CHANDLER
PASTELS

 

John Chandler was born in North Hollywood, California. As a child, his family moved frequently between California, Nevada and Northern Virginia, providing widely varied cultural environments from which to draw inspiration and influence. Nature, and the many forms of life have always captivated him. Recent inspiration has come from his mother's and friends' collections of antique toys and collectables, from which he is creating the Toy Series of pastels. He is currently focusing on pastels, but enjoys exploring a variety of two- and three-dimensional media, including watercolor, acrylic, pastel, graphite, mixed media, and wood.
