Jane LaFazio's artistic style
is graphic, fresh, in-the-moment, always with an unexpected element
of surprise. Her love of detail, mixed with sly humor, produces realistic
subjects from a slightly different point of view. She often mixes her
own California style with an Asian-influenced composition.
Jane accepts commissions, and
paints watercolor, collage, decorative furniture, and floor-cloths.
Jane lives and works in Rancho Bernardo with her beloved husband of
23 years and two precious cats and is active in many San Diego art exhibits
and juried shows.
Jane has degrees in Graphic
Design and Asian Studies. She lived and traveled in Asian in the mid-eighties,
and her education and travel experience is often apparent in her artistic
style and subject matter. She is a native Californian, having lived
in both northern and southern California.
Jane is highly aesthetic, and
has always loved beautiful things and surroundings. Art is a wonderful
expressive vehicle for Jane to explore being in the "zone" in her right
brain.
Personal Comments "My work is
continually changing and growing. I love the thrill of discovery of
a new possibility or technique."
