Artists Statement
"I paint to resolve problems and issues I have encountered in my
job or life. Currently I have extensive contact with agricultural workers
who seem to be manipulated by one concern or another. I expect that
is why there appears to be Hispanic overtones in some painting. I am
most comfortable with idealized or romantic notions. I believe I have
been influenced by the idealism portrayed by central European painters
of the early 20th century and some American painters of the 20's-40's."
